Crest PublishingThe Publishing world is faced with a massive volume of new writers competing for a spot in a market place that has a decreasing number of readers. In view of this, in October 2006, Glenn Macaskill and Michael Bowery, both already published authors but with more books in the pipeline, decided to launch a modest publishing house called Crest Publishing CC. Their aim was to proudly publish their own titles and also to assist new South African writers who wanted to self publish. At the same time they were ready to advise on how to achieve this while avoiding the pitfalls that beset the unwary writer. Furthermore, Crest also offers, at current market rates, a personal literary service for new aspiring authors. This includes reading manuscripts, lightly editing, and providing a comprehensive report on the content, construction, writing ability and the publishing potential of each submission. We will also act as literary agents on a commission basis where we perceive possible success in placing manuscripts with established publishers. In addition Crest offers a service as freelance editors to existing members of the Publishers Association of South Africa. Michael's and Glenn's books have proved successful with good reviews and are presently being sold by Exclusive Books and Adams Books in South Africa. All titles are listed on www.kalahari.com. Particular success has been experienced by sales to South African libraries. Crest Publishing has plans to promote its titles aimed at them being publishing in Europe and the United States of America. Crest operates from Crest House, Jukskei Park Johannesburg. |

New South African authors, Michael Bowery and Glenn Macaskill, both have longstanding Police and intelligence backgrounds, and therefore write with credibility and authenticity. Michael Bowery’s novels are a trilogy of different plots featuring Harry Canham of the British SIS, while Glenn Macaskill’s are about more diverse topics. |
